How it works

Golden Hint, start to finish

Three things in one place: an exchange where charities trade skills, an honest guide to starting a charity, and a library for running one well.

The Exchange

Charities list what they're good at (offers) and what they need (requests). When two charities agree to work together, they accept a short agreement covering scope, time, format and credits. The work happens through private messages, calendar links and a shared space for files. When both sides confirm it's done, the credits move, and both leave a short review.

Golden Hint also suggests mutual matches: pairs of charities where each can help the other.

Credits

One hour of expert help earns one credit; one credit buys an hour of help from anyone else. Credits have no cash value and can't be bought or sold. How credits work.

Opening in phases

  1. Phase one (live now): the brand, the founder pathway and tools, the resources library, news, the Trust Centre and the waitlist.
  2. Phase two: membership with verification, profiles, the Exchange, messaging, the credit wallet and ledger, the member dashboard and the forum.
  3. Phase three: smart matching, mentoring and peer circles, events, funder credit pools and company volunteering programs, gifting credits, status tiers and badges, and the public impact report.
